Shawn led the Colby-Sawyer baseball team to one of its best four-year stretches in program history. An all-around player with multiple tools at his disposal, Shawn helped the Chargers win a pair of Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) championships and earn a berth to the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) tournament. His name is scattered throughout the Colby-Sawyer record books as he ranks in the top-10 in 11 offensive categories. Shawn, who earned a nod as the Louisville Slugger National Player of the Week award, finished his impressive career with 143 hits (6th), a .330 batting average (9th), 105 runs batted in (5th) and 24 home runs (3rd). His combination of power, average and speed led him to collect 36 stolen bases (6th), 10 triples (3rd), 114 runs scored (3rd) and a slugging percentage of .587 (3rd). His speed also led him to become a great defensive outfielder. Shawn was a three-time CCC First Team selection and an ECAC New England First Team honoree.  Shawn was inducted into the Colby-Sawyer Hall of Fame as a member of the 1999 Baseball Team. He also was inducted to the Yawkey Baseball League Hall of Fame in 2009 and the Central Ohio Men’s Adult Baseball League Hall of Fame in 2010.
