Ethan Casson

Ethan Casson ’96 was instrumental in propelling the Colby-Sawyer men’s basketball team into notoriety during the early years of the program. Ethan helped the Chargers to a 70-31 record in his four years as the floor general while collecting a school record 454 assists, which he held for 16 years. His outstanding efforts were recognized with the 1995-96 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Robbins Scholar-Athlete Award. Ethan was inducted into the New England Basketball Hall of Fame in 2013.  

In 2016 Casson was appointed CEO of the Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx and currently serves in that role. He was previously the Chief Operating Officer of the San Francisco 49ers. An accomplished sports executive for over twenty years, Casson has been recognized with several honors including Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal’s 2022 Most Admired CEO, Sports Business Journal’s “People Who Influenced Sports Business” list in 2020 and a member of the prestigious Sports Business Journal’s Forty Under 40 class of 2014.
