9586Danielle Shannon is the first three-time recipient of the Charger Award for Outstanding Female Athlete. She is undoubtedly the most successful alpine skier in program history and her accolades are a confirmation of an illustrious career.

Danielle collected a perfect 12 counts of United States Collegiate Ski & Snowboard Association (USCSA) All-American honors, was the 2009 USCSA Giant Slalom National Champion, and the 2011 Individual Combined National Champion. She finished as the top American at the USCSA Nationals three times, which resulted in three trips to the U.S. Alpine National Championships.

Danielle dominated the MacConnell division by winning 13 races and added a few second-place finishes as well. She led the team to a pair of MacConnell Division titles and was a two-time MacConnell Division Individual Champion.

Danielle was also instrumental in helping the Chargers to three Eastern Collegiate Ski Conference (ECSC) Combined titles. She came away with multiple regional podiums throughout her career and garnered 11 ECSC All-Region honors. In her first season, Danielle aided the team to its best USCSA team finish of second in the giant slalom, slalom and combined. She also earned four Academic All-American awards and was a three-time team MVP.
