6830Michelle Doody is one of only two players to record 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs in a career. She has solidified her standing as one of the top players in Colby-Sawyer volleyball history. The 6' outside hitter showed her versatility by playing the entire rotation, contributing offensively and defensively. An intimidating force at the net, Doody displayed power and accuracy with a program record 1,794 career kills and the program's ninth highest total of 209 blocks. Doody got her career off to a fast start as a first-year student and was named Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) and NH Division III Volleyball Rookie of the Year. She also was named to the All-CCC First Team and became the first player to earn First Team accolades all four years. In her sophomore and junior seasons, Doody earned back-to-back CCC Player of the Year honors. She also became the first player to earn three All-New England honors from the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA). She is the all-time leader in kills per set (3.65), attack attempts (5,049), points (2,103.5) and points per set (4.27). In addition, Doody ranks fifth in attack percentage (.242), sixth in digs (1,253), ninth in digs per set (2.55), ninth in block solos (60) and ninth in block assists (149). She also set a pair of single season records in 2010 with 557 kills and 1,595 attack attempts.
