Marc was an all-around, four-year men’s basketball player for Colby-Sawyer. His versatility on both ends of the floor created match-up problems for defenders and offensive opportunities for his teammates. The 6’5” wing player could handle the basketball and be strong inside, which helped him finish his brilliant career with 1,278 points and 577 rebounds. Marc was named Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Player of the Year in 1998-99. He averaged 21 points per game, which is the fourth best in a season in Colby-Sawyer history. The 567 points he scored during the season is the fifth most in program history. Marc was also named to the Columbus Multimedia All-Region Second Team (Honorable Mention in 1997), CoSIDA Academic All-District Second Team, and the New Hampshire D3 Basketball Coaches Association First Team, and he played in the New England Basketball Coaches Association Senior All-Star game. During his time on the team, the Chargers went 83-26 overall and 47-5 in the CCC, including back-to-back perfect 13-0 regular seasons. In the 1997-98 season, Marc and his teammates won the college’s first Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) championship. That team was inducted into the Colby-Sawyer Hall of Fame in 2015.
