Unczur led the Chargers in several offensive categories last week. The senior posted a .533 batting average (8-15), .682 OBP and a ridiculous 1.400 slugging percentage for a 2.082 OPS. Unczur had at least one hit in each of the six games, drew seven walks, and had six extra-base hits, including three home runs. He also struck out six and allowed four runs in 6.0 innings on the mound.
Close tossed a complete game one-hit shutout in his only appearance last week. He threw seven innings and struck out 10. Close was one strike away from the no-hitter, but the D'Youville batter singled to center to break up the bid. He retired the next batter for the complete game one-hitter.
O'Brien wrapped up his first collegiate week on the diamond with a .545 batting average in five games. He posted an on base percentage of .583 and a slugging percentage of .818. The first-year player collected six hits in 11 at-bats and added four RBI and a couple of stolen bases. With game one against Gordon tied 3-3, O'Brien recorded the big hit by knocking in a pair with the eventual game-winning runs.
