Dennis Shines in Summer Stint with Vermont Lake Monsters

NEW LONDON, N.H. - Colby-Sawyer infielder posts a .350 batting average and .462 on-base percentage over five-game stretch in the Futures League.

Colby-Sawyer College baseball standout infielder Evan Dennis (East Ryegate, VT.) started his Summer off hot during a highly productive five-game stint with the Vermont Lake Monsters of the Futures Collegiate Baseball League (FCBL). Showing off the dynamic offensive skill set that has defined his collegiate career through his first three years, Dennis batted an impressive .350 and served as a consistent spark plug in the Lake Monsters' lineup.

Stepping up against elite collegiate pitching, Dennis reached base at a stellar .462 clip over his 26 plate appearances. Demonstrating disciplined eyes and excellent bat-to-ball skills, he recorded 7 hits and drew 5 walks, while striking out just a single time across 20 official at-bats. His patience and efficiency at the plate ranked him among the top tier of summer circuit performers, securing the 12th highest walk total and 29th overall in hits during that frame.
