Summary

Biography

As a senior: Unczur, a team captain, led the Chargers offensively as he played and started all 11 games in the shortened 2020 season. He hit .400, slugged .867 and had an OPS of 1.392. Unczur mashed led the team with three homeruns, 12 hits and eight runs scored. He began the season with a 3-for-4 effort at Springfield and finished the season with a six-game hitting streatk. Unczur earned the final GNAC Player of the Week award of the season. He also made three starts on the mound. 

As a junior: Unczur was named to the GNAC Third Team. On the mound, Unczur led Colby-Sawyer with three wins, three complete games, two shutouts, and 30 strikeouts. Among all GNAC players, his two shutouts led the league and the three complete games ranked as fourth most. He logged the second most innings on the team with 46.2. Even when he found himself pitching for the Chargers, Unczur was mainstay in the lineup as a hitter. Spending most of his time as the leadoff hitter, Unczur led the team with 19 runs and a pair of homeruns. He was third on the team with a .286 batting average, third with 30 hits, third with five doubles, third with 41 total bases, and third with six stolen bases. Unczur posted 105 at-bats in 34 starts and finished second on the team in slugging percentage (.390) and third in on base percentage (.380). Unczur was named GNAC Pitcher of the Week on March 18.

As a sophomore: Unczur started 17 times in 24 appearances and hit .263. He had a pair of three-hit games and was third on the team with nine RBI. Unczur also made a pair of scoreless appearances on the mound.  

As a freshman: Unczur hit .287 in his first season with the Chargers. The freshman started 32 times in 34 appearances and had the fourth most at-bats with 115. He scored the third most runs on the team (18) and knocked in the fifth most runs with 13. Unczur recorded at least one hit in 17 of his first 19 games. His first collegiate knock came as a pinch-hitter on March 11 against Becker. On April 8 at Husson, Unczur hit his first homerun. 

At Danvers: Tim earned letters in swimming, baseball, track and golf for the Falcons. He was a two-time first team all-conference swimmer, an all-conference baseball player and participated in the Agganis all-star game. Tim is a member of the World Language National Honor Society. 

Personal: Son of Gregory and Deborah. Has sisters named Sarah and Julie. Tim is an Exercise Science major.
