Myrtle Beach, SC – The Chargers enter Day 3 of their Myrtle Beach trip looking at a doubleheader with Western Connecticut State. Game 1 is slated to take place at 11am and Game 2 will start at 2pm. 

The Chargers are 1-2 in Myrtle Beach so far. The Chargers won against The College at Old Westbury on Saturday 3-1. Will Carpenter (Medfield, MA) pitched six innings, giving up only one run. Carpenter threw 90 pitches in the outing. On offense, the Chargers produced eight hits. Mike McLeer (Saco, ME) and Devin Montalvo (Coram, NY) each hit a double in the game. 

The Wolves are 1-3 in Myrtle Beach so far. The Wolves won 9-8 against Rivier on Saturday. Brandon Payne was credited with the win after pitching an inning with no runs. Giani Chieffalo earned three RBIs in the game. 

The Historical Matchup: 

This will be the first time that the two teams meet. 

Looking Ahead: 

On Tuesday, the Chargers play one game against Hobart College.
