AT COLBY-SAWYER
2026: Carpenter made 10 appearances for the Chargers in his senior season, finishing the season with a 2-1 record and a 5.54 ERA across 37.1 innings of work. Will struck out 29 batters while allowing 23 earned runs on 49 hits and 14 walks. Carpenter earned his first win of the season on March 14th at Old Westbury, tossing six innings and allowing just one run on four hits while striking out six. He matched his season-high with six strikeouts against Rivier on April 12th while working a season-high 6.1 innings. Carpenter added another strong performance on April 22nd against Elms, allowing just one earned run over five innings without issuing a walk.
2025: Carpenter took on an expanded role in the Chargers' rotation, making 12 appearances and finishing the season with a 3-3 record across 46.1 innings of work. Will recorded 37 strikeouts and posted a 6.02 ERA. Carpenter earned his first win of the season on March 21st against Apprentice School, tossing five scoreless innings while allowing just two hits and striking out four. He followed with a seven-inning shutout at Elms on April 6th, allowing only two hits. Carpenter turned in his best performance of the season on April 21st against Norwich, firing seven scoreless innings while allowing three hits and setting a career-high with nine strikeouts to earn the win.
2024: Carpenter made nine appearances for the Chargers with eight starts. Will ended the year with a 4-3 record with a 7.23 ERA in 42.1 innings of work and 34 strikeouts. Carpenter tied a career-high with eight strikeouts on March 12th against Mount Aloysius College going six innings allowing one earned run. Will added another career performance on May 5th at Mitchell in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Pod Play going 7.1 innings, setting down eight Mariners while allowing just two runs in a win.Â
2023: Carpenter made eight appearances for the Chargers making one start. Will finished the year with a 11.12 ERA in 11.1 innings of work alowing 20 runs (14 earned) on 22 hits with 13 punch outs and six walks. Carpenter's best outing of the year came on April 22nd at Saint Joseph's College of Maine posting a clean inning of work with two strikeouts. Will's first collegiate start was on April 27th against Lesley University tossing three innings allowing four runs (all unearned) while striking out four batters.Â
