CHARGERS END SEMESTER WITH 34TH ALL TIME MATCH-UP AGAINST GORDON COLLEGE

New London, NH – The Colby-Sawyer men's basketball team will travel to Wenham, Massachusetts on Thursday to play Gordon College in a non-conference matchup.

The Chargers enter Thursday scoring over 75 points in three of the last five games. The last game for the Chargers was a loss on Monday to defending MASCAC champions Westfield State University. Thursday marks the end to the Chargers three-game road stretch, and it will also be Colby-Sawyer's last game until the new year.

The Fighting Scots are 1-1 in their last two games, having beaten the University of Hartford on Saturday and losing to Worcester State University on Tuesday. This will be the first game back in Wenham for the Fighting Scots after their three-game road stretch. This will be the Fighting Scot's second game this season against a GNAC school, as they have played New England College.

The Chargers:

  • Elijah Thomas (Fairfax, VA) – Thomas leads the Chargers in scoring this season and scored 18 points on Monday.

  • Sean Peterson (Chester, NH) – Peterson has had two double-doubles this season, with one coming last game (10 pts, 10 rebounds).

  • Tobey Bellows – Bellows scored nine points last game and is averaging 8.8 points per game.

The Fighting Scots:

  • Alex Daniel – Daniel scored 20 points on Tuesday and is averaging 16.4 points per game.

  • Drew Brander – Brander scored 18 points on Tuesday and is averaging 15.6 points per game.

  • Isaac Jarvis – Jarvis is averaging 10.8 points per game and 6.8 rebounds per game.

The Historical Matchup:

The two teams last played each other two seasons ago at a neutral site, where the Chargers got the win. This will be the first time that the two teams have played each other at Gordon College since the 2010-11 season.

Looking Ahead:

After this game, the Chargers won't return to the court until 2026 when they play SUNY Canton at the Hogan Sports Center on January 3.
