Westfield, MA – The Colby-Sawyer men's basketball team traveled to Massachusetts to take on the Westfield State University Owls on Monday evening.

The Owls started the game off well, going on an 11-0 run. But the Chargers kept focus as Tobey Bellows made a jump shot and Tevin Edmunds made a layup and a free throw. About a minute later, Sean Peterson (Chester, NH) would make a layup. With about nine minutes to go in the first half, Peterson and Edmunds would score baskets. Elijah Thomas (Fairfax, VA) scored a jump shot with seven minutes to go. Bellows, Peterson, and Thomas would all make layups for the Chargers in a 6-2 run for Colby-Sawyer. With 19 seconds left in the half, Thomas made a layup. The Owls would lead 49-21 going into the halftime break.

The Chargers started the second half strong, with Peterson scoring the first points of the half. Thomas would go on to score the next eight points for the Chargers. Logan Lapierre Caissie (Ontario, Canada) and Bellows would each make layups, as 13:30 would be left in the game. Moments later, Thomas, Peterson, and Dante DeMoor (Ronse, Ooost Vlaanderen, Belgium) would each score two points for the Chargers. With 7:51 left, Bellows would make a layup. Thomas would score another basket, to make it 18 points for the Sophomore Captain. Dominic Rodriguez would go on to score six points in 90 seconds for the Chargers. With less than 90 seconds left in the game, Kayden Hoskins (Littleton, NH), Rodriguez, and DeMoor would each score two points. The Owls would win the game 86-59.
