NEW HAVEN, Conn.
– The Chargers women's tennis picked up their first Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) win of the season on Saturday defeating Albertus Magnus by a 9-0 final.

- The Chargers swept the doubles sessions as junior Elise Hogan (Duxbury, Mass.) and junior Amelia Campanella (Chepachet, R.I.) led the way in number one doubles by a 8-2 final. First year Maria Espinosa Lopez (Merida, Mexico) and sophomore Callie Valeri (New London, N.H.) won number two doubles by a 8-1 final, while senior Mary Thoms (Northwood, N.H.) and junior Mei Genest (Keene, N.H.) picked up a 8-0 number three doubles win.
- In singles action senior Taylor Bentley (New Milford, Conn.) defeated Bailey Mitchell-Warr by a 6-0, 6-0 final in number six singles to get the fourth point. Espinosa Lopez picked up another 6-1, 6-0 victory in number two singles. Campanella, Genest, Thoms and Hogan each added big wins to provide the shutout win.
