NEW LONDON, N.H. – April 19, 2015 – The Colby-Sawyer women's lacrosse team earned the third seed in the 2015 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) tournament and will host six seed New England College on Saturday, April 25.

The Chargers claimed the third seed after posting a 6-2 record in conference play, while the Pilgrims went 3-5. Colby-Sawyer defeated NEC 19-8 earlier this season in Henniker. The two teams met in last year's tournament with the six seed Chargers picking up a 14-10 upset at third seed NEC.

Colby-Sawyer is led by senior Alyssia Janak who has a team best 46 points on 24 goals and 22 assists. Junior Caitlyn Whearty has scored a team-high 28 goals this season, while first year player Nicole Lavigne has 25 goals and team highs of 36 ground balls and 58 draw controls.

New England College boasts a pair of players with 57 points on 44 goals and 13 assists each in Allison Granata and Jacquelyn Lane. Granata also has a team best 52 ground balls. Gabriella Bigos has collected a conference leading 115 draw controls.
