Box Score 2 LYNDONVILLE, Vt. - April 23, 2014 - The Colby-Sawyer baseball team split a pair of North Atlantic Conference (NAC) games at Lyndon State on Wednesday afternoon. Colby-Sawyer took game one 5-1, but fell 4-3 in the nightcap.
The Chargers go to 5-21 overall and 2-12 in the NAC. Colby-Sawyer begins a stretch of eight games in four days when New England College comes to New London on Friday afternoon. Lyndon's record goes to 9-11 in the conference.

Brett Emmertz had two hits and scored twice to back the five-hit pitching of Colby-Sawyer
Kevin Keith who went the distance to get the victory. He allowed only one earned run while striking out three and walking none.
Vinny Monahan had two hits for the winners and
Rob Wallace had a double to go along with two runs-batted-in.
Sam Matthews (St. Johnsbury, Vt.) took the loss for the Hornets, allowing three earned runs on seven hits while fanning three and walking two. Chris Sevigney (Lowell, Mass.) was a perfect 3-for-3 on the day with a double and teammate Kyle Whitworth (Brattleboro, Vt.) swatted a double as well.
In Game 2, Lyndon jumped out to a 4-1 after two innings of play and held off the Chargers long enough to record the win.
Tyler Pelletier (St. Alabns, Vt.) was 2-for-2 with a double and two RBIs and Michael Cartularo (Lyndonville, Vt.) drove home a pair of runs with a sacrifice fly and a single. Jeff Williams (Gilsum, N.H.) went seven strong innings to get the win, allowing three earned runs on 10 hits while striking out three and walking one.
Nathan Frongillo had three hits to lead Colby-Sawyer while Emmertz and Wallace added two each. Charger starter
Shawn Crowell, who lasted only one-third of an inning, took the loss.
