As a junior: Lapple led the Chargers with a .373 batting average and 18 stolen bases. He recorded 47 hits, 12 RBI and was tied for the team lead with 20 runs scored. Lapple also led the team with a .484 slugging percentage. He was named to the All-NAC Second Team.
As a sophomore: Lapple appeared in 36 games and earned the start 31 times. He was second on the team with a .308 batting average and led the squad with 15 thefts. Lapple was tied for the lead with five doubles and was fourth in RBI with 16.
As a freshman: Andy played in 29 games in 2011, while earning the start 24 times. He had the third best batting average on the team (.274) and second best slugging percentage (.370). His best game came on March 20 against Wentworth. He went 2-2 with two runs, three RBI, a triple and his first collegiate homerun.
At Newtown: Andy help lead the Newtown baseball team to a 2009 South West Conference championship. He also was the starting designated hitter in 2010 when he earned All-State honors. Andy was a starting forward for the Newtown basketball team his senior year. He earned High Honors for academics.
Personal: Son of Jackie Collins and Robert Lapple. Has two brothers named Bob and John and two sisters named Liz and Alex. Andy is a Business Administration major.
