New London, NH – With five games to go in the regular season, the Colby-Sawyer women's lacrosse team has eyes on a matchup with Norwich on Tuesday evening in Northfield, Vermont.
The Chargers enter Tuesday after a close match with Emmanuel on the weekend that the Saints won. Lauren Vignola (Ringwood, NJ) scored three on Saturday, adding to the Sophomore's conference-leading 51 goals on the season. Rose Finlayson (Hopkinton, NH) was named to the GNAC Honor Roll last week, as the junior scored her 100th career goal last Tuesday. Finlayson ended the week on six goals and three assists. Defensively, Luci Walden (Bellingham, MA) leads the Chargers in caused turnovers (25).
The Cadets won against the Falcons of Albertus Magnus on Saturday in Connecticut. Bailey Ingala and Athena Merck were named to the GNAC Honor Roll last week. Ingala made 10 saves against Rivier on Tuesday, helping the Cadets to a win. Merck scored a combined six goals last week in two games for Norwich. Abigail Kirrane picked up six ground balls for the Cadets in their win on Saturday.
