New London, NH – The Colby-Sawyer women's lacrosse team will head to Vermont on Wednesday to play Vermont State University Castleton at 4pm. 

The Chargers won 20-0 in their last game against Albertus Magnus on Saturday. The Chargers have scored 12+ goals in each of their games this season. 

The Spartans will play their first game of the 2026 season on Wednesday. 

The Chargers: 

• Brooke Farquhar (Gorham, ME) – Farquhar has eight caused turnovers and 11 ground balls on the season. 

• Cecilia Ponzini (Windham, NH) – Ponzini has seven goals, three assists, and 13 ground balls this season. 

• Grace Joly (Windham, ME) – Joly was named GNAC rookie of the week for the third time in a row. Joly scored five goals and recorded three assists on Saturday. 

The Spartans: 

• Phoebe Loomis – Loomis had 31 goals and 11 assists in 2025.  

• Renny Cota – Cota scored 31 goals and recorded six assists in the 2025 season. 

• Megan Culp – Culp had 57 draw controls in 2025. 

The Historical Matchup: 

This will be the 36th all-time matchup between the two teams. 

Looking Ahead: 

After this game, the Chargers will play Elms in New London on Saturday.
