New London, NH – The Colby-Sawyer baseball team will open their season this Saturday at Middlebury College, as they will play a doubleheader against the Panthers. 

The Chargers have made the GNAC tournament in each of the last two seasons. The Chargers had 11 different players score home runs last season and had five different pitchers with 20+ strikeouts. 

The Panthers will also begin their season on Saturday. The Panthers are the reigning NESCAC tournament champions. 

The Chargers: 

• Evan Dennis (East Ryegate, VT) – Dennis ended the 2025 season batting .355 and hit six home runs. 

• Dylan Watson (Byfield, MA) – Over the past three seasons, Watson has a career batting average of .337 and a career ERA of 3.82. 

• Sean Roeger (Salem, NH) – Roeger is entering his third season as a Charger and has a career batting average of .327. 

The Panthers: 

• Aiden Han – Han batted .345 in the 2025 season. 

• Brayden Matthews – Matthews recorded 16 RBIs in the 2025 season. 

• Gus Parker – Parker ended the 2025 season with a .302 batting average.  

The Historical Matchup: 

The Panthers won the matchup between the two sides last season. The Chargers are 3-7 all-time against the Panthers. 

Looking Ahead: 

After Saturday, the Chargers will next play against Fitchburg State University on Wednesday.
