MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - The Colby-Sawyer baseball team kicked off their annual trip to Myrtle Beach with a night time doubleheader against Hobart College from Geneva, N.Y. where the Chargers would fall in both games.
Game 1:

- Hobart would open up the scoring for the game, scoring two runs each in the first three innings to take an early 6-0 lead. Christian Petry would lead the way for Hobart driving in two early runs in the first and second. Connor Schmiedlin would drive in two runs later for Hobart to extend their lead.
- The Chargers would score their lone run in the bottom of the third inning after a lead-off single by Griffin Wheeler (Penacook, N.H.) where he would go on to steal second. Sean Roeger (Salem, N.H.) would come up and go on to drive in Wheeler off a single to the outfield.
On the Mound:
- Graduate Student Zach Rogers (Mashpee, Mass.) would get the start for the Chargers, pitching three innings giving up ten hits and allowing seven runs, striking out one while walking two. Brady Young (Stratham, N.H.) would relieve him, where he would pitch three innings himself, allowing one hit, striking out three and walking two while giving up no runs.
At the Plate:
- Sean Roeger led the way for the Chargers, going two-for-three and driving in the Chargers lone run. Evan Dennis (East Ryegate, Vt.) would also go two-for-three while Jared Schmitt (Surry, N.H.) would go one-for-three with the Chargers only extra base hit.
Game 2:

- Hobart would go off to score early again with three runs in the first inning off a string of extra base hits by the top of the order. The Chargers would come back swinging in the fourth to give them some life. Dylan Watson (Byfield, Mass.) would get his 100th career hit off a line drive into right center, followed by a little dribbler to the right side by Sean Roeger to put two on. Cooper O'Brien (Vergennes, Vt.) would send a shot into deep right field that took one hop over the wall to bring in Watson on the ground rule double. Evan Dennis would follow with a single to right field that would bring in Roeger and O'Brien. Evan Dennis would score on a single up the middle by Devin Montalvo (Coram, N.Y.) that would knot the game up at four.
- Hobart would strike back in the bottom half of the fourth inning where Schmiedlin would double to right, driving in a run, followed by another double by Drew Bolduc to take a 6-4 lead in the bottom of the fourth.
- The Chargers would work their way back off a Dennis sacrifice fly to score Watson to make this a 6-5 game. The Chargers would get chances in the 6th and 7th but would not come away with any runs.
On the Mound:
- First Year, Mike Hogan (Piermont, N.H.) would make his first college start yesterday throwing three innings, allowing three runs on four hits while striking out three. Hayden Goerlich (Amherst, N.H.) would come in for him to throw 0.2 innings, allowing one run on zero hits. Vinny Digiacomo (Marston Mills, Mass.) would get the loss pitching one inning, allowing one run on two hits while striking out two. Matt Moreau (Hope, R.I.) would come in the throw the last 1.1 innings, allowing three runs on three hits while striking out two.
At the Plate:
- Evan Dennis would lead the way for the Chargers, driving in three runs on a one-for-three day, scoring one run. Montalvo would go two-for-three, driving in one run. Dylan Watson would score two runs on a one-for-three day for the Chargers.
