BOSTON, Mass. - March 4, 2020 - The Colby-Sawyer men's volleyball team fell to Wentworth, 3-0, in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) match Wednesday evening. The Leopards won by scores of 25-7, 25-13 and 25-14.

Wentworth, which was chosen second in the GNAC preseason poll, improves to 12-4 overall and 5-1 in the GNAC. The Chargers drop to 9-6 overall and 0-2 in conference play. Colby-Sawyer heads to New York next week for a couple of non-conference matches.

Eric Miller led the Chargers with five kills. Orlando Plagata tallied eight assists and four digs.

The home team received seven kills on .700 hitting from David Marsh. Zack Anglen added six kills, while Drew Potter posted seven aces.

Wentworth hit an impressive .750 in the first set and registered eight aces to cruise to a 25-7 win.

The beginning stages of the middle set proved closer than the first, as Colby-Sawyer hung on due to several Wentworth service and attack errors. Giovani Dos Reis registered the Chargers' first kill of the set to trail by four, 11-7, before Wentworth turned a 5-0 run with three consecutive aces from Tristan McDonough to build a lead that held throughout the set's remainder.

The Leopards swept the Chargers with small and efficient runs in the last set to secure the victory.
