RIVERDALE, N.Y. - March 9, 2020 - The Colby-Sawyer men's volleyball team began a quick trip to New York with a 3-0 victory at Mount Saint Vincent on Monday evening. The Chargers won by scores of 25-13, 25-21 and 25-15.
Colby-Sawyer improves to 10-6 and will stay in New York to play at York College on Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. The Dolphins drop to 2-18.
Orlando Plagata led the Chargers with nine kills and five digs.
Eric Miller posted six kills and three aces.
AJ Gnieski tallied 19 assists and a couple of aces and kills.
The Dolphins received eight kills from Terence Strehle. Mark Nilaj contributed five kills and a team best seven digs. Felix Paulino also had five kills.
Colby-Sawyer hit .316 in the first set and registered eight kills to earn the 25-13 win.
The Chargers continued to use efficient hitting and 15 aces for the match to pick up the second and third set victories and the 3-0 sweep.
