FRANKLIN, Mass. - February 1, 2020 - The Colby-Sawyer men's volleyball team earned a pair of 3-0 victories over Dean College on Saturday. The Chargers won the first match 25-11, 25-17, 25-20 and the second match 25-10, 25-15 and 25-14.
Colby-Sawyer improves to 6-3. The team will play its first home match on Tuesday against Eastern Nazarene at 7 p.m. Dean falls to 0-4.
In the first match,
Orlando Plagata hit .476 to finish with 13 kills to lead all players. He added 13 digs and four aces.
Eric Miller tallied seven kills and six digs.
AJ Gnieski contributed 23 assists and three aces.
Andrew Kovacs chipped in with five kills.
The Chargers then earned their second 3-0 win of the day and received a match best six kills from
Eric Miller. Colby-Sawyer piled up 16 aces in the match with eight by
AJ Gnieski and five from
Orlando Plagata. Plagata and Gnieski also picked up 14 and 10 digs, respectively.
