Box Score NEW LONDON, N.H. – March 29, 2014 – Husson University sophomore Alissa Fallon (Kennebunk, Maine) scored as time expired to help the Eagles to a 12-11 come from behind victory over Colby-Sawyer in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) opener, on Saturday afternoon at the Sally Shaw Veitch Track and Field.

The Eagles improve to 1-5 overall and 1-0 in the NAC and will play at Thomas on Wednesday under the lights at 7:00 p.m. Colby-Sawyer falls to 2-4 overall and 0-1 in conference play. The Chargers will face intrastate rival New England College on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. in Henniker, N.H.

With the game tied at 11-11, Husson brought possession into its offensive zone as the time was winding down. Fallon held the ball behind Colby-Sawyer's goal with less than 10 seconds remaining when she made her move to the front of the net. She shot a hard bouncer that snuck under the crossbar as the horn sounded.

Colby-Sawyer jumped out to a 7-2 advantage in the first 18 minutes of the game. Husson then rallied to score three in a row (two by Fallon), to cut the deficit to 7-5. Junior Carly Baker (Beverly, Mass.) gave Colby-Sawyer an 8-5 lead at the half with a goal at 1:11.

The Eagles turned in a strong second half and outshot Colby-Sawyer 20-8 in the frame. The Chargers held a 10-6 lead at 21:47 after a Caitlyn Whearty (Hampstead, N.H.) free position goal, but Husson responded with five consecutive goals to take its first lead of the contest. Colby-Sawyer sophomore Sara Berry (Bowdoinham, Maine) knotted the game at 11-11 at 3:38 with her third goal of the season before Fallon scored the game-winner at the buzzer.

Fallon led all players with five goals on six shots. Junior Hailey Thibeau (Gardiner, Maine) had two goals, while five other Eagles notched a goal.

Colby-Sawyer was led by a four goal effort from Baker. Berry and junior Alyssia Janak (Bourne, Mass.) added two goals apiece.

Husson goalie Kaitlin Dolloff (Richmond, R.I.) earned her first collegiate victory and stopped 10 shots. Freshman Kellie Lander (Ossipee, N.H.) made 16 saves in the loss for Colby-Sawyer.
