NEW LONDON, N.H. - April 22, 2013 - The Colby-Sawyer women's lacrosse team earned the third seed in the 2013 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) tournament and will host sixth seed Husson on Wednesday at 3:30 pm.
The Chargers are 7-8 overall and finished the NAC season at 4-2. Husson enters the game at 3-9 overall and 1-5 in conference play.
Earlier this season, Colby-Sawyer earned a 20-12 win at Husson.
Colby-Sawyer is led by senior
Ashley Reis. She has team-highs of 27 goals and 31 points. Sophomore
Carly Baker is close behind Reis with 30 points on 21 goals and a team best nine assists. Senior
Laurel Bauer is third with 29 points on 22 goals and seven assists, while compiling the second most draw controls (29) and ground balls (33). Freshman goalie
Karley Hamilton has 92 saves.
Husson's attack is led by junior Caitlyn Stauffer. She leads the team with 22 goals and 26 points. Junior Haley Huntington is second in points with 23 on 20 goals and three assists, while leading the Eagles in draw controls (28). Senior goalie Chelsea Kondratowicz has made 89 saves.
