BOX SCORE

The Chargers would lead from start to finish as they jumped out to an early 9-2 lead in the opening minutes of the game forcing Eagles' head coach Daryle Tucker into a quick timeout.  The visitors continued to push the floor and would lead by as many as 13 points before the Eagles could respond.

Six-straight points by Eagles' junior forward Terry Jones cut the lead 24-18 and seemed to give the Eagles some much needed momentum.  The home side would close the deficit 30-27 with 4:40 left to play in the first, but Colby-Sawyer's 11-4 run to end the period gave the visitors a 41-31 halftime lead.

Majong's nine points coming out of the break gave the visitors a 50-39 lead just under 5 minutes into the second stanza.  The Chargers would extend their lead to as many as 27 points and cruise to victory as both teams substituted liberally in the final minutes of play.

Aside from Majong's performance, Colby-Sawyer received 14 points from junior guard Zach Bean, 12 points from junior forward Kyle Nelson and 10 bench points from junior forward Mike Dias.  Sophomore center Peter Donato led the way on the glass with seven rebounds and also blocked a shot.

Jones led the way for Green Mountain with a game-high 25 points on 8-of-15 shooting, which included a 2-for-3 performance from beyond the arc and a 7-of-8 day at the line.  Junior guard Robert Holloway led the Eagles in rebounding grabbing seven caroms.

The Chargers out shot the Eagles, enjoying a 45.1% to 32.1% advantage from the field.  Both teams converted at a high percentage from the free-throw line as each averaged right around 80% from the charity stripe. One of the keys in the Chargers' win today was effective defensive pressure which caused Green Mountain into too many turnovers

Colby-Sawyer will return to the court on December 10 when it hosts WPI for a 7:30 PM tip-off. Green Mountain College will hit the road for a game tomorrow against Unity College with game time scheduled for 2 pm.
