Box Score NEW LONDON, N.H. – October 22, 2013 – The Colby-Sawyer and New England College men's soccer teams played to a 0-0 draw in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) contest against in-state rivals, on Tuesday afternoon.

Colby-Sawyer goes to 8-6-1 overall and 4-3-1 in the NAC. The Pilgrims are now 10-5-2 overall and 6-1-1 in conference play.
New England College had the most chances to get on the board in the first half with a 6-1 advantage in shots. The Chargers squandered a few opportunities in the offensive end of the field with four offside calls.
The second half saw 17 combined shots with the Pilgrims holding a 13-4 edge in the category. Junior Julian Yourawski (Peabody, Mass.) had two of his three shots reach the target, but was turned away each time by the Chargers' keeper. Colby-Sawyer's best chance of the stanza came off the foot of freshman
Andrew Clothier (Matamata, New Zealand). Clothier was able to create space down the left flank and ripped a shot from 25 yards out that sailed just above the crossbar.
The Chargers had a pair of chances late into the first overtime as they were awarded two free kicks from just outside of the 18-yard box. Both tries came up empty as the Pilgrim wall did its job.
In the second extra session, each team had a chance to end the game. The Pilgrims had two of their six corners in the frame and had a promising scoring opportunity off the foot of freshman Rizy Misiri (Concord, N.H.). Misiri played the corner kick and got the ball back from a pass by a teammate and ripped a shot that was saved by the Colby-Sawyer goalie. Junior
Alex Ortega (Milton, Vt.) supplied the offensive threat for the Chargers with a pair of shots in the frame.

Nick Austin (Westerly, R.I.) made 10 saves for his sixth shutout of the season. Fellow Rhode Island native, senior Robert Millard (Barrington, R.I.) stopped both of the Chargers' shots for his second clean sheet of the year.
New England College outshot the Chargers 24-8 and had a 6-1 edge in corners.
Colby-Sawyer will conclude its NAC portion of the schedule on Saturday at home against Husson. The team will be celebrating senior day before game time at 3:00 p.m. New England College plays its regular season finale on Saturday at home against Maine Maritime at 3:30 p.m.
