CHARGERS PICK UP THIRD STRAIGHT GNAC WIN ON LATE GOAL

CHICOPEE, MASS. - The Colby-Sawyer men's soccer team headed to Chicopee Wednesday night to take on Elms College in their third GNAC match-up in their last four games in search for another conference win.

Rapid Recap:
  • The Chargers were the first to find the back of the net off a goal by Colin Riley-Perec (Plymouth, Mass.) in the 16th minute of the match. This would mark Riley-Perec's fourth conference goal in the last three GNAC games. Colin would go on to pick up his first assist of the game, finding Nick Carrabino (Fair Haven, Vt.) to give the Chargers a 2-0 first half cushion.
  • Colby-Sawyer would hold Elms to just two shots in total for the first half, while they took six. Yener Bartolon (West Palm Beach, Fla.) would pick up a save to keep the Blazers out of the net in the first half.
  • Elms would battle back in the second half, as Jacobo Molina Ferrer would knock in two goals in the 52nd and 64th minutes to knot the game at two. With the game still tied at 2, and both teams would see a point added to their records, it was a Carrabino and Riley-Perec connecion in the 87th minute that would seal a 3-2 victory and three points for the Chargers.
