CHARGERS WIN SECOND STRAIGHT GNAC MATCH-UP

NEW LONDON, N.H. - The Colby-Sawyer men's soccer team hosted Lasell University Saturday afternoon where they would end up picking up their second straight GNAC victory.

Rapid Recap:
  • The game would be knotted at 0 while the Chargers held a majority of possession and control of this game. The scoring would break open in the 34th minute as Colin Riley-Perec (Plymouth, Mass.) would dribble a ball from outside the box and sneak a shot under the Lasers keeper for his fourth goal of the season.
  • The Chargers would hold a 1-0 lead up to halftime after taking 9 shots in the first half, and limiting the Lasers to just two shots. Colby-Sawyer would add some insurance in the 63rd minute as Riley-Perec would get fouled in the box, granting a Charger penalty kick. Matheus Saragosa (Sao Paulo, Brazil) would set up for the kick and knock it into the back of the net, marking a 2-0 lead.
  • Riley-Perec would set himself up to take a Chargers free kick just a couple feet away from half field in the 71st minute. Colin would look to send the ball into the box, that avoided every player inside the box, take a bounce and land in the net for the Chargers third goal of the game.
