AUBURNDALE, Fla. - March 5, 2011 - The Colby-Sawyer baseball team began the 2011 season with a pair of victories over Lesley University at Lake Myrtle. The Chargers won game one 10-1 and followed with a 3-0 victory in game two.

The team will play a double-header on Sunday against SUNIT beginning at noon in Eagle Lake, Fla.
In game one, the Chargers were led by
Tyler Stotz and
Greg Mehuron who each recorded four hits. Mehuron scored two runs and drove in a pair.
Justin Martin,
Jordie Scheiner, and
Brandon McFadden each knocked in a pair of runs in the win.
Jon Wylie recorded his first collegiate hit with a triple in the third inning.
Mike Bertuccio went the distance on the mound for Colby-Sawyer surrendering just five hits and one earned run. He struck out eight in earning his first victory of the season.
Game two featured only five hits combined from the two team. Mehuron was responsible for two of them and drove in two runs.
Ricky Perzentz threw a complete game and retired 17 of the last 18 Lynx he faced, picking off the only runner who reached base over the last six innings. He finished with 10 strikeouts, one-walk, and two-hits in the shutout victory.
