Baseball Drops Two of Three at Chain of Lakes Park

WINTER HAVEN, Fla. - March 8, 2010 -
The Colby-Sawyer Baseball team split a pair of games versus SUNYIT and fell to Emerson College.  The Chargers now hold a 2-3 record with four games remaining in the Florida trip.

The Chargers played three games in the Chain of Lakes Park in Winter Haven, Fla., falling in the first game of a double-header to SUNYIT, 3-5. Designated hitter Matt Muldoon went 2 for 3 with 1 RBI for the Chargers.

Colby-Sawyer rebounded in game 2, exploding for 13 runs in a 13-7 win over SUNYIT. Matt Rosa  pitched 5 solid innings, allowing three runs on five hits, while stirking out five. Rosa moves to 1-0 on the season.

The Chargers finished their stint in Chain of Lakes Park with a 4-9 loss to Emerson College. The Chargers were held to three hits in the game. Second baseman Tyler Stotz went 1 for 4 and scored three runs in the loss.
