Biography

AT COLBY-SAWYER 
2022:23:
Boone finished off his career at Colby-Sawyer in style averaging 14.0 points, 6.4 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.0 blocks per game. Omar saw action in all 26 games for the Chargers making 17 starts. Boone ranked 13th in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) in points per game and 16th in rebounds per game. Boone's best game as a Charger came on December 10th against Anna Maria where the senior registered 30 points, 10 rebounds and netted the game-winning basket down the stretch. Omar added another huge double-double on January 17th against Rivier University scoring 17 points, ripping down 13 boards and rejecting three shots in a 68-55 win. On February 15th Boone put himself in the Colby-Sawyer record books being the 22nd student-athlete to score 1,000 points in a 78-69 victory. Omar was later named to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Third Team. Boone was also named the Outstanding Senior Male Athlete at the 2022-23 Chargies. 

2021-22: Boone returned to New London for the 2021-22 season in which he averaged 12.3 points, 6.4 rebounds and 1.0 blocks per game shooting 45.7% from the field. Boone played in all 24 games making 15 starts, before being more successful from the sixth-man role. Omar had his best game of the season on January 30th at Anna Maria College where he scored 26 points on 11-19 shooting from the floor to go along with 12 huge rebounds in a 70-67 Charger win. Boone registered a new career-high in points on February 12th scoring 27 points to go with nine rebounds versus Albertus Magnus College. Boone showed off his high-flying ability this season winning the Chargie for photo of the year in a beautiful dunk against Elms College on December 1st. 

2020-21 (Sul Ross State University): Boone would transfer to Sul Ross State University for his sophomore season where he played 20 games averaging 6.6 points and 3.0 rebounds per game. Omar's best game came at Concordia University Texas where he scored a season-high 15 points while grabbing six rebounds. 

2019-20: Boone started in 23 of his 25 appearances in his first season. He was fourth on the team with 9.4 points and second with 5.6 rebounds per game. Boone was also a force on the defensive end with 12 blocks and 23 steals. He poured in a season best 21 points at Plymouth State on November 26th. Boone later grabbed a season high 12 rebounds in a win against Rivier University on December 3rd. 

PRIOR TO COLBY-SAWYER: Graduate of Colorado High School where he was a Big Country Player of the Year and FCA All-Star MVP. Boone was also a two-time offensive MVP, All-Region member and four-time tournament MVP District Champion.
