AT COLBY-SAWYER 
2023-24: Joanou was a crucial part of the Chargers in 2023-24 playing in all 26 games and making 24 starts. Mike ended the year averaging 5.8 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.1 steals per game. Joanou had a big game on January 18th at New England College with 13 points, three steals and three rebounds in a huge conference win. Mike tallied a career-high in rebounds on February 14th against Regis with 11 boards to go with 12 points and three steals. Joanou notched a new career-best in scoring February 19th at Rivier in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Play-In Round tallying 15 points, 10 rebounds and a pair of assists. 

2022-23: Joanou saw action in 20 games in his first year in New London making six starts. Mike averaged 2.5 points and 1.1 rebounds per game in 11 minutes per game. Joanou made his first collegiate start on November 22nd in a Charger win at UMass Boston. Mike registered a new career-best on January 3rd at Albertus Magnus College scoring 11 points on a perfect 5-5 shooting from the floor to go with three rebounds. He had another breakout game against Elms College on January 11th at Elms College scoring nine points on a perfect 4-4 shooting in a buzzer-beating win over the Blazers. Joanou was later named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) All-Sportsmanship Team at the end of the season.

PRIOR TO COLBY-SAWYER: Graduated from Providence High School where Joanou was CIF Southern Region D3 Prep League Runner Up two years in a row while also receiving the 2019-2020 Most Improved and Paul Sutton Tournament Championship Co-MVP.

At Aurora University: Joanou competed at Aurora University where he was the 2021 Team Leading Scorer and made Dean's List Spring of the following year.
