Colby-Sawyer Athletics

As a senior: Lopez, who earned her third straight nod to the All-NAC First Team, led the Chargers to a third consecutive conference title and finished in second place with a time of 21:14.6. Earlier in the season, Lopez set a new 5k record at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational. She broke her own record of 19:19.72, which she set at UMass Dartmouth in 2015, with a new time of 19:11.07 to place 27th out of 275 runners. Lopez added a fifth place finish at Keene State and a sixth place at Roger Williams. She ended her career with a 109th place showing at the NCAA Regional to help the Chargers come away with the program's best finish at an NCAA Regional by placing 25th out of 59 institutions. She crossed the finish line in the third fastest program 6k time of 23:30.05. Lopez was named NAC Runner of the Week earlier in the season.  

As a junior: Lopez earned her second straight All-NAC First Team honor by finishing second in 20:36.56 to secure Colby-Sawyer's second straight NAC Championship. Earlier in the season, Lopez led the team to a victory at the Pilgrim Invitational by placing second. She also turned in a fourth place finish at the Southern Vermont Invitational to help the Chargers finish second out of seven. Lopez registered a new 5k record time of 19:19.72 on September 19 at UMass Dartmouth. 

As a sophomore: Lopez finished in 21 minutes flat for fourth place to lead the Chargers to the 2014 NAC Championship title. She earned All-NAC First Team accolades for placing in the top seven of the NAC Championships. Lopez turned in three top-5 finishes throughout the season, highlighted by a second at Castleton on September 7, a race won by the team. 

As a freshman: Lopez began her collegiate career with a sixth place finish in the first race of the season. She crossed the finish in 20:11. For her efforts, she was named NAC Rookie of the Week. Two weeks later, she recorded her highest finish of the year. She placed third at the Thomas Terrier Invitational in a time of 21:57. 

At Camden Hills: Emily competed in cross country and track for the Windjammers. She was named MVP three times and earned KVAC All-Conference honors in cross country and track. She was a New England's participant in cross country twice and track once. Emily set a high school record in the high jump. 

Personal: Daughter of Amy. Has brothers named Justin and Billy. Emily, who also is a member of the Colby-Sawyer track team, is an Environmental Science major.
