As a senior: Thorpe was named NAC Defensive Player of the Year in his final season. He finished the season ranked eighth in the country in steals per game (2.84) and 12th in total steals (71). Thorpe exits Colby-Sawyer with the third most steals in school history with 192 and the eighth most career assists with 367.
As a junior: Stephen appeared in 19 games in 2012-13. He was second on the team with 61 assists and 36 steals. Stephen moved into 10th on the all-time career assists list with 243.
As a sophomore: Stephen saw an increase in time on the floor and led the team with 108 assists. He appeared in all 28 games and started 10 times. He shot 46% from the floor and scored 5.3 points per game. Thorpe led the team with 58 assists and was third in the NAC in that category.
As a freshman: Stephen made an immediate impact at the point guard position in 2010-11. He played in all 25 games as the backup, but logged over 16 minutes per game. Stephen was second on the team with 74 assists and third with 30 steals.
At North Lawndale: Stephen was a team captain for the Phoenix basketball team. The team also won a state championship, a city championships and had a second and third place in the state during his tenure. Stephen is a member of the National Honor Society.
Personal: Son of Patricia. Has a sister named Jada and brothers named Brandon and Jalen. Stephen is a Sport Management major.
