Franklin, MA – The Chargers played their second game against Dean on Tuesday. The two teams faced off a little over a week ago where they played the first game before the second game was postponed. 

Rapid Recap: 

• The starting pitcher for the Chargers was Dylan Watson (Byfield, MA), and the starting pitcher for the Bulldogs was Nick Swain. 

• In the 2nd inning, Junior Jesse Chaves (Taunton, MA) hit a single and Noah Staffier (Beverly, MA) scored on the play for Colby-Sawyer. In the bottom of the 2nd, Chase Lachance, Kyler Lorenz, Gavin Goss, and Matthew Dutton each earned an RBI for Dean. The Bulldogs led 4-1 after two innings of play. 

• In the bottom of the 3rd, Lachance grounded out but earned an RBI as Nick Amendolara scored on the play for Dean. 

• In the top of the 5th inning, Devin Montalvo (Coram, NY) scored a Colby-Sawyer run. 

• The Bulldogs scored a run in the 5th and a run in the 7th inning. 

• In the top of the 8th inning, Watson earned his second hit of the game on a single. In the bottom of the 8th, Dean scored two runs. Dean won the game 12-2. 

Inside the Numbers: 

• Watson, Mike Hogan (Piermont, NH), Ryan Kane (Franklin, MA), Noah Corliss (Sanford, ME), and Justin Powers (Peabody, MA) all pitched on the mound for the Chargers. 

• Watson and Jacob Putnam (North Haverhill, NH) both were 2-5 from the plate. Staffier was 2-4 from the plate. 

• Jacob Paschetto was 5-5 from the plate for the Bulldogs. 

• The Chargers combined for nine hits.
