AT COLBY-SAWYER
2026: Powers made four relief appearances for the Chargers during his senior season, totaling 3.1 innings of work with four strikeouts. Justin delivered back-to-back scoreless appearances on March 15th against Mary Washington and March 18th against Mt. Aloysius, allowing just one hit across 1.2 combined innings while recording two strikeouts. He tossed a scoreless inning against Mary Washington, allowing no hits and striking out one, before following with two scoreless outs and another strikeout against Mt. Aloysius.
2025: Powers made 11 appearances out of the bullpen for the Chargers during his junior season, posting a 4.73 ERA across 13.1 innings of work with 12 strikeouts and only two walks. Justin put together a strong stretch early in the season, allowing no earned runs over five consecutive appearances from March 31st through April 15th. He turned in his best outing of the season on April 4th at New England College, tossing a season-high 2.2 scoreless innings while allowing two hits, striking out a season-high three batters and issuing no walks. Powers followed with two scoreless innings against Anna Maria on April 15th, allowing just one hit while striking out two. He also tossed a perfect inning at Rivier on April 28th, retiring all three batters he faced and recording a strikeout.
2024: Powers played a pivotal role for the Chargers out of the bullpen making 13 appearances in his sophomore season. Justin ended the season with a 2-1 record with a save in 21.1 innings of work with 13 strikeouts. Powers picked up his first collegiate save on March 1st at Massachusetts Maritime Academy tossing three innings allowing four runs with a strikeout. Justin's first collegiate win came on March 14th against Fredonia State going two innings of shut out play. Powers picked up his second win of the season on April 19th at Saint Joseph's (Maine) hurling 2.1 innings with three strikeouts.Â
2023: Powers made four starts in his first season in New London including five other appearances out of the bullpen. Justin ended the year with a 0-2 record throwing 24.2 innings of work allowing 30 runs (22 earned) on 38 hits with 18 strikeouts and eight walks ending with a 8.03 ERA. Powers made his first college appearance on March 5th at Massachusetts Maritime Academy tossing a single inning of shutout ball getting two punch outs. Justin also had a solid bullpen outing on April 29th against Dean College going another scoreless frame with two more strikeouts.Â
PRIOR TO COLBY-SAWYER: Graduate of Peabody Veterans Memorial High School, where Powers was a NEC All-Conference selection as well as NEC All-Star. Justin was also a MBCA All-Star and team captain his senior year.
