MEN'S BASKETBALL STARTS OFF SECOND SEMESTER AGAINST SUNY CANTON

New London, NH – The Colby-Sawyer men's basketball team returns to the court in 2026 to take on SUNY Canton at the Hogan Sports Center on Saturday at 1pm. 

The Chargers have scored 70+ points in four of their last six games. This will be a week before the Chargers start conference play next Saturday at Emmanuel. However, before conference play starts, the Chargers have three more non-conference games including this one and two more during the week next week. 

The Kangaroos have scored 70+ points in four of their last six games. This will be the second time this season that the Kangaroos are playing against a GNAC team, as they played Norwich University for their season opener. This will be the last non-conference regular season game for the Kangaroos for the season, as they will then head into SUNYAC conference play. 

The Chargers: 

  • Emmanuel Adarkwa (Lawrenceville, GA) – The graduate guard is averaging 8.4 points per game and scored 14 points in the last game against Gordon College. 

  • Tobey Bellows – The first-year forward is averaging 9.4 points per game having scored 15 points in the last game for the Chargers. 

  • Sean Peterson (Chester, NH) – The junior forward is averaging 8.2 rebounds per game and 8.1 points per game.  

The Kangaroos: 

  • Lateef Johnson Jr. – The junior guard/forward scored 32 points and got 17 rebounds in the last game against Vermont State Castleton. 

  • Jahdeuir Reese – The sophomore guard scored 17 points in the last game for the Kangaroos and recorded five rebounds as well. 

  • Bryon Streb – The junior forward recorded 11 rebounds and three assists in the last game for the Kangaroos. 

The Historical Matchup: 

This will be the first ever meeting between the Chargers of Colby-Sawyer and the Kangaroos of SUNY Canton. 

Looking Ahead: 

After this one, the Chargers will stay at home for a non-conference matchup against Fisher College on Wednesday.
