NEW LONDON, N.H. – On Tuesday, the College Sports Communicators (CSC) 2023-24 At-Large Academic All-District Team was released featuring nine Chargers including five members of the alpine ski team.
The members from Colby-Sawyer from the ski team include sophomore
Jackson Musial (Bartlett, N.H.), senior
Chesley Smith (Stowe, Vt.), senior
Abby Larrabee (Durham, Calif.), senior
Jared Marshall (Denmark, Maine) and graduate student
Caity Regrut (Telluride, Colo.).
To be named to the All-District Team the student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically. An undergraduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale).
Musial made five finishes for the Chargers in 2024 including a career-best finish on February 16th with a 29th place finish in the slalom at the Williams Carnival.
Smith finished four races for Colby-Sawyer in his senior year with a pair of 33rd place finishes on February 9th at the Dartmouth Carnival and on February 16th in the Williams Carnival. Chesley was also named the Charger Male Senior Scholar Athlete of the Year at the Chargies.
Larrabee crossed the line in two races for the Chargers in 2024. Abby's first finish came on February 3rd with a 45th place finish in slalom before getting her best finish on February 16th in slalom at Williams College with a 43rd place time.
Marshall made two finishes in his senior year in New London. He placed in 34th in the slalom on February 9th at the Dartmouth Carnival and on February 16th at the Williams Carnival.
Regrut ended her career in New London with six finishes in 2024 including a best finish on January 19th placing in 34th at the Colby Carnival.
