WOMENS CROSS COUNTRY RUNS TO 23RD PLACE FINISH AT D3 EAST REGIONALS

HOPKINTON, N.H. - The Colby-Sawyer Women's cross country team competed at the NCAA DIII East Regionals hosted at Hopkinton Fairgrounds where 41 schools from the North East competed to see who would be going to Nationals in Indiana.

Rapid Recap:
  • The Chargers were led by top runner Adriana Nadeau (Londonderry, N.H.) who crossed the line 62nd out of 224 runners with a time of 24:03.68
  • Next to cross the line for the Chargers was Samantha Carus (Brownfield, Maine) who finished 114th and crossed the line with a time of 25:26.92
  • Leah O'Neill (Peabody, Mass.) was the third Charger across the line with a massive personal best by nearly 30 seconds to finish 128th with a time of 25:47.49
  • Maisy Hill (Bristol, VT) was the fourth Charger across the line finishing in a time of 26:51.53
  • Tessa Millette (Barrington, N.H.) rounded out the scoring for the Chargers crossing the line as the 5th team member, finishing in a time of 26:56.97
  • To wrap up the Chargers day was First Year, Lenah Hellerich who crossed the line in a time of 27:14.86
Inside the Numbers:
  • The Chargers scored a total of 581 points best for 23rd as a team, tying their team positioning from last year
  • The Chargers were the first GNAC school, backing up their title won a couple weeks prior
  • The 1-5 gap was 2:54 across the line
Up Next:
The Chargers will end their 2024 cross country campaign as the team enters the offseason as some of the team will gear up for indoor track.
