Chargers Great Day Sees 30th Place Team Finish

North Dartmouth, MA - The Colby-Sawyer Women's Cross Country team finished 30th out of 45 scoring schools at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational Saturday morning.

Rapid Recap:
  • The Chargers were led by Junior, Adriana Nadeau (Londonderry, N.H.) who clocked a time of 20:04.44 in the Women's varsity 5k for 117th overall out of of 345 runners.
  • Senior, Samantha Carus (Brownfield, Maine) was the next Charger across the finish line clocking a time of 20:35.16 for a 160th overall finish.
  • First Year, Lenah Hellerich (Tolland, Conn.) had another breakout race beating her previous personal best by 23 seconds crossing the line in a time of 22:10.63 as the third Charger across the line.
  • Sophomore, Maisy Hill (Bristol, Vt.) finished in a time of 22:35.05 to finish as the fourth Charger with Senior, Tessa Millette (Barrington, N.H.) right behind her finishing in a time of 22:37.37 to round out the top five for the Chargers. Junior, Leah O'Neill finished just seconds right behind Hill, and Millette clocking a time of 2:42.20.
  • Senior, Quinn Aldrich (New Ipswich, N.H.) rounded out the Chargers seven finishing in a time of 23:48.96.
Inside the Scores:
The Chargers finished with 925 points and finished 30th place as a team out of 45 scoring schools. Brown won the whole meet with a score of 39 points. The Chargers finished as the top GNAC school at the meet, while also finishing as the 8th best team in the East Region.

Up Next:
The Chargers will have next Saturday off before returning to action in the Norwich Cadet XC Invitational, Friday, October 4th.
