WEST HARTFORD, Conn. - The Colby-Sawyer men's soccer team fell to 0-2 in Great Northeast Athletic Conference play on Saturday night falling to the University of Saint Joseph by a 4-0 final.

- The Blue Jays started off firing at the Chargers launching the first 10 shots of the game in the first 30 minutes. First year Yener Bartolon (West Palm Beach, Fla.) played outstanding in the first 30 with four saves. The University of Saint Joseph finally connected as Dane Stephens scored goal number three on the season from Michael Torres to give the home team a 1-0 lead. The Blue Jays would fire seven more shots on Bartolon in the first half with three more saves coming for the young keeper.
- The Jays connected quickly to start the second half as DeAnte Anderson finished home a pass from Anthony Delacruz to double the lead. In the 50th minute Colby-Sawyer got the first two shots of the match for the visitors as senior Fabrice Francois (Port-au-Prince, Haiti) and sophomore Ryan Wilson (Mattapoisett, Mass.) both couldn't find the target. USJ tallied the third goal in the 58th minute as Michael Torres got on the board assisted by Benjamin Marrchetti. Torres connected again later in the 68th minute to make the home lead at 4-0. Sophomore Jadon Baros (Colorado Springs, Colo.) finally got a shot on net in the 81st minute, but the ball was saved to end the chances of a comeback.
Notes & Notables:
- The Chargers were out shot by a 30-3 margin with a 17-1 shot on target differential.
- Bartolon picked up the loss, stopping 11 shots in 71 minutes of action. Sophomore Ryan Witty (Wilton, Conn.) finished out the game with two saves and zero goals allowed in 18:46 minutes.
