NEW LONDON, N.H. – The Colby-Sawyer women's volleyball team fell bounced back from yesterday's defeat with a 3-0 (25-20, 25-21, 25-19) victory over Northern Vermont University - Johnson.
Rapid Recap:
- The Chargers and the Badgers were knotted up at 7-7. Colby-Sawyer took advantage going on a 14-4 highlighted by three aces and two kills by sophomore Katie Mollberg (Naples, Fla.). The Chargers picked up the first set win by a 25-20.
- Colby-Sawyer continued to stay on the attack picking up their first lead of the second set using a 5-0 run led by a service ace by sophomore Audra Fontes (Fresno, Calif.). Another 6-0 run brought the Chargers to set-point before an error gave Colby-Sawyer the 25-21 win.
- In the third set the Badgers took an early 9-4 advantage. The Chargers battled all the way back going on a 5-0 run late to take the 20-17 lead highlighted by a pair of kills by senior Ameesah Cotten (Newburgh, N.Y.). Colby-Sawyer put the game away scoring four consecutive points with three kills for sophomore Ally Majenski (Marshfield, Mass.).

Notes & Notables:
- Senior Mia Harmon (Concord, N.H.) led the Chargers attack with eight kills, followed by seven kills by Majenski.
- Sophomore Brooke Patnode (Weare, N.H.) led the passing efforts with 25 assists for Colby-Sawyer.
- Fontes led the defense with 14 digs, followed closely by sophomore Mia Lopez (Jourdanton, Texas) with nine digs.

The Chargers are back at the Dan & Kathleen Hogan Sports Center for a tri-match on Saturday against Dean College and Fisher College.
