NEW LONDON, N.H. - Sophomore
Jadon Baros' (Colorado Springs, Colo.) third goal of the season propelled the Chargers past Fitchburg State University 2-1 on Wednesday night.
Rapid Recap:
- The first half saw back and forth action with the Chargers taking five shots and the Falcons launching 11. First year Yener Bartolon (West Palm Beach, Fla.) continued to play big with four first half saves.
- In the second half Colby-Sawyer flipped a switch taking four shots in the first eight minutes, before connecting on the first score of the game as Baros lifted a corner kick to sophomore Gabriel Jacobs (Franconia, N.H.), who headed in his first collegiate goal. Fitchburg State battled back stealing the momentum before answering in the 75th minute as Lucas Barbosa beat Bartolon to even the game at 1-1.
- The Chargers continued to rocket shots, before Baros gave Colby-Saywer the game-winner in the 83rd minute. The Falcons fired two last shots, but Bartolon stayed in net strong to close out the win.

- Colby-Sawyer out shot the Falcons 21-20 with a 12-11 on target differential.
