NEW LONDON, N.H. - The Colby-Sawyer men's soccer dropped its second-straight contest falling to Castleton University by a 2-1 final.
Rapid Recap:
- The Spartans jumped on the Chargers early getting a goal in the 8th minute as Seth Dube scored from a Matt Spiller assist. Colby-Sawyer continued to battle back with senior Callum Buchanan finally getting on the board for the Chargers lacing a left-footed shot past the keeper in the 22nd minute. Colby-Sawyer kept the offense rolling firing off three more shots, but Castleton keeper Jonathan Maul kept the Chargers from taking the lead in the first half.
- The Chargers and Spartans continued to battle in the second half with the Chargers picking up three yellow cards in the process. Castleton took the lead again in the 80th minute as Toby Ritzkowski found home to give the visitors the lead. The Spartans had a chance just a minute later, but a tremendous diving foot save by first year Yener Bartolon (West Palm Beach, Fla.) kept the game at 2-1. Sophomore Jadon Baros (Colorado Springs, Colo.) took a last chance shot, but it went high as the Chargers fell 2-1 in 90 minutes.

- Buchanan's third goal of the season is a new career-high for the senior who already has surpassed his points high as well in the young year.
- Bartolon picks up the loss to bring his overall record to 1-2-1. Yener stopped seven shots in the loss.
- Castleton outshot Colby-Sawyer 21-6 with a 11-5 shots on goal differential. The Spartans also held the advantage with corner kicks 8-2.
