PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Colby-Sawyer baseball team lost both games on Sunday falling to Johnson & Wales University 13-3 and 21-0.
Game One: (13-3)
- The Wildcats took a 6-0 lead early in the second inning off of back-to-back homeruns. The lead ballooned to 10 in the bottom of the fourth tacking on four more runs.
- The Chargers got on the board as junior Jake Choiniere (St. Johnsbury, Vt.) doubled in a pair of runs. Junior Ben Brennan (Marblehead, Mass.) followed it up hitting a sacrifice fly to push the third run across the plate all coming in the sixth inning.
- First year Kam Lovelette (Enosburg Falls, Vt.) picked up the loss tossing three and a third innings allowing nine runs (seven earned) while striking out one.
Game Two: (21-0)
- A big second inning gave the Wildcats another 10-0 lead early over Colby-Sawyer in game number two, which eventually led to the big win. Junior Ian Turpel (Cohasset, Mass.) notched the only hit for the Chargers coming in the first inning.
- First year Jack Mullen (Norfolk, Mass.) took the loss throwing a pair of innings giving up 10 runs (3 earned) with four strikeouts and two walks.

The Colby-Sawyer Chargers host Lesley University on Thursday back in New London with first pitch scheduled at 3:00 PM.
