NEW LONDON, N.H. – Due to a reschedule caused by rainy weather, the Colby-Sawyer Chargers faced the Lesley University Lynx in a single nine inning ball game on Sunday, April 10^th at Kelsey Fields. Unfortunately for the Chargers, the ball did not land their way as they took another loss, this time with an 11-6 score. 

Game One: (13-3)

• Despite the Chargers 4-0 lead in the first half of the game, a single run in the fifth and eight more in the sixth would give the Lynx a comfortable advantage heading into the tail end of the game. 
• Lesley University shut down the Chargers and earned two more runs in the top of the eighth to make the score 11-4 before junior captain Tommy Sasso (Grafton, Mass.) homered to left field as the first hitter of the ninth inning for the Chargers to put another run on the board. Two walks would then follow to place runners on first and second and force a pitching change for the Lynx. A sac grounder by first-year Jesse MacGlashing would then score junior captain Ian Turpel (Cohasset, Mass.) from third bringing up first-year Ben Mensch (Tampa, Fla.) to the plate. Mensch would go down on three strikes to end the game, giving the Lynx their 13^th win of the season. 
• First year Kam Lovelette (Enosburg Falls, Vt.) picked up the loss throwing five innings and allowing five runs (four earned) with five strikeouts.

The Colby-Sawyer Chargers continue their three straight days of competition by hosting the Monks of Saint Joseph's College of Maine, tomorrow April 11^th in a doubleheader Great Northeast Athletic Conference matchup starting at 1pm on Kelsey Fields.
