Player Spotlight:

"We went into the game ready to compete and have fun", said senior Olivia Werner (Williston, Vt.). "Our practice before today's game was super relaxed, yet also competitive. So that was our focus going into today's game against Emmanuel. We knew we'd have to work for this win coming off our first GNAC loss last week, so we were hungry to win another GNAC game."

Rapid Recap (Albertus Magnus College) W (25-14, 25-14, 25-20):
  • Colby-Sawyer continued their positive momentum into the second game jumping ahead 4-0. A 6-1 run later in the set sparked by two kills by Werner jumped the lead to 16-9. Sophomore Makaila Blinne (Palm Bay, Fla.) closed out the first set with another kill as the Chargers won 25-14.
  • The Chargers jumped up 11-4 after a kill by sophomore Brooke Patnode (Weare, N.H.). The lead grew to 21-11 before an easy 25-14 win.
  • In the final set of the day the Falcons fought back trailing only 14-9 early. Albertus Magnus stormed back to tie the game at 15-15 with Colby-Sawyer countering with a 6-3 run to take a 21-18 lead. Patnode and Harmon each added kills as the Chargers wrapped up the match winning 3-0.
Player Spotlight:

"I think today was a great day for us especially since we had been stuck in a tough losing streak", said sophomore Brooke Patnode (Weare, N.H.). "Winning two GNAC games was something we definitely needed and we made a statement in both games especially our second win against Albertus Magnus. Everyone contributed to this win and we were able to show how strong of a team we are. Everything was rolling today from the great passing coming from the back row, to the setting, to then the connection with my hitters who were absolutely destroying the ball today. I'm very proud of everyone's performance and contribution to these wins today and I can't wait to keep working hard everyday to continue towards further success."
