NEW LONDON, N.H. – The Colby-Sawyer women's volleyball team suffered a 3-1 setback on Tuesday evening, falling to the visiting New England College Pilgrims in a nonconference matchup at Coffin Fieldhouse.

- Tied at 5-5 early in the first set, NEC used a 9-2 run to take a 14-7 lead. From there, the Pilgrims kept the Chargers at arm's length and took the first set 25-22.
- Tied at 23 late in the second, the Chargers capitalized on a pair of Pilgrim errors to take the set 25-23 and even the match at 1-1.
- The Chargers built an early 8-4 lead in the third, but again the Pilgrims battled back to tie the set at 11-11. From there, it was all NEC, as a 14-2 run gave NEC the victory 25-13.
- In the fourth, it was again Colby-Sawyer who jumped out to the early lead, holding 13-8 and 15-11 advantages before a seven-point run put NEC in front 18-15. The Chargers evened the score at 18-18, 20-20 and again at 23-23, but a pair of errors by Colby-Sawyer closed out the set and gave NEC the 3-1 victory.
