Rapid Recap:

An attacking error ignited some hope for the Chargers but was extinguished as the badgers produced the final kill to take the first set 25-21.
- Trailing 1-0, the Chargers overpowered the Badgers in kills during the second set, 12 to eight. Six of the 12 kills derived from a seven-point run from freshman Ally Majenski (Marshfield, Mass.), junior Ava LaValle (Peabody, Mass.), and junior Olivia Werner (Williston, VT). The Badgers, behind by 10, received a point due to a service error by Colby-Sawyer. The women were able to reach 25, leaving the Northern Vermont Badgers at 16.
- During the third set of the match, Allen recorded her 2,000th career assist and was celebrated by the pausing of play, a special announcement, and a poster from Head Coach Cailyn Straubel. Allen recorded 10 kills in the third set. The Chargers dropped set 3 with a score of 25-21.
- Needing to win the fourth set to stay afloat, the Chargers scored first and took the lead in which they maintained for the entire set. - The Chargers showed a lot of promise to start the fifth set as they produced a five-point run beginning with two bad sets from the Badgers. The Chargers, up 6-3, allowed a successful attack by Northern Vermont to interrupt their run. However, Werner quickly answered back with a dynamic kill assisted by Allen. After an attack by the Badgers, junior Ameesah Cotten (Newburgh, N.Y.) produced a kill to make the score 8-5, Chargers. A service error by Colby-Sawyer sparked a four-point run by the Badgers to give them the 9-8 lead which was quickly lost by an attacking error coming from the Badgers. The next six points of the set were evenly distributed to each side as both teams recorded three kills. With the score even at 12, Werner smacked one over with an intense amount of power behind it giving LaValle the next service.
